Things to Do

Prospect Park
Brooklyn, NY 11225, USA

The venue of the wedding is nestled in Brooklyn's largest park that offers so much to do! A walk through the park on a summer day is one of my favorite things to do. Having a picnic in one of the long stretches of rolling hills is a great afternoon activity. Further down in the southern reaches of the park is the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, which are absolutely fantastic.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden
990 Washington Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225, USA

Not too far from the wedding venue and absolutely gorgeous in the summer time!

East River Ferry

There are several stops along the routes of the East River Ferry that give you a beautiful look at the city from the water! I love taking the East River Ferry in the summer time because the weather is perfect. Also, it's the least expensive ferry you'll take in NYC! Don't want to spend $30 for the Water Taxi? The East River Ferry is your best bet! It's only $2.75!

Brooklyn Museum
200 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11238, USA

Check out the current exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum! Located adjacent to Prospect Park and not far from the wedding venue!

Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty

Using the ferries, you can tour both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two of New York City's most famous landmarks!

Brooklyn Bridge Park

A long, sweeping park along the East River with lots to do! Enjoy ice cream from Ample Hills, play basketball, volleyball, or soccer on the fields, or relax by the river in a seat of your own with a book or an iced coffee! (Note: The East River Ferry is accessible from Pier 1 at the Brooklyn Bridge Park)
